Fantastic Cleaning was started by the Sikorski family in 1989 as a part time building cleaning business. The operation grew and was providing service primarily to Regina auto dealers and later expanded to include shopping malls and office buildings. At the time of purchase by Sierra Ventures Corp. in June 1995 the company consisted of thirty employees. Since the acquisition, the cleaning operations have grown to more than a hundred employees. Fantastic Cleaning became unionized and became a separate company but still operated by Sierra Ventures Corp. The non union portion of the company changed its name to EXCEL Cleaning Services.
We believe in taking ownership of our client’s facility. Our strategy is determined by the needs of the client, the building and the conditions which exist. Our usual methodology at start up of a new contract is to determine immediate work to bring the building up to our standard and utilize monies earmarked for overhead and profit for the first two months. We invest this money in additional manpower to clean up the building. At this point we develop a standard for staff to maintain and determine how our client’s specifications can be set in manageable daily, weekly and periodical job descriptions for individual employees. Our management staff is required to participate in new building start up as we set an example for our staff to follow and we learn the intricacies of the area.
